MEDIN, in collaboration with technology company Advamat, has introduced a new biocompatible coating for trauma plates. This innovative material prevents the formation of a so-called cold weld between the plate and the screw, which often complicates the subsequent removal of the implant.
Thanks to the new PVD coating, screws can be loosened more easily, which shortens operating time, reduces the risk of implant damage, and improves comfort for both patients and doctors.
"Our collaboration with Advamat has enabled us to translate cutting-edge materials research into practice and offer surgeons a solution to a real problem," said Oldřich Pospíchal, Technical Director at MEDIN.
This innovation confirms MEDIN's commitment to continuously improving the quality and safety of medical devices for modern traumatology.
